Put your fitness to the test and take part in The 137 Challenge with ActionAid. Whether you take on squats, stepups or situps, your support will help to end violence against women and girls living in poverty.

Story

This November, I am taking part in The 137 Challenge with ActionAid. Did you know, one in three women will experience some form of violence in their lifetime, and 137 women are killed per day by a partner or family member?

I was only recently made aware of this shocking and awful statistic so when my friend Alice said she was taking part in The 137 Challenge to raise money for this worthwhile cause I had to get involved. The 137 Challenge is 137 sit ups, squats, step ups or a mixture of all 3, every day during the month of November.

Everyone who knows me well knows I love a fitness challenge so please show your support!

I'll be posting videos every day on Insta / Facebook to prove i've completed so no cheating!

Donating just £23 could pay a counsellors salary for a month meaning women and girls who have survived violence have access to crucial psychosocial support to help them recover so I am kicking things off with the first donation of £23.

ActionAid is an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty. Their dedicated local staff are changing the world with women and girls. They are ending violence and fighting poverty so that all women, everywhere can create the future they want. If you'd like to find out more about the amazing work ActionAid does, please visit their website at www.actionaid.org.uk.
