It’s been a period of challenge for all of us, and I feel it’s never been a better time for reflection and appreciation of the small things.

Unfortunately, my dad passed away in 2019 and mum a year later. With that said, I’ll leave this page here for those who have read Clancy Goes to France and wish to donate. 

Thank you all, and let’s hope 2021 brings good health to us all.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. I'm pleased to say that we are now publishing children's books to contribute to our ongoing support of the MS Society. 

I'll leave the original overview in place, and will update you on our latest activities as the rest of the story unfolds.

As we head in to the New Year I thought it would be a good time to update you on what's happening.

We have been back on UK soil for some time and I have been working on the book ready to be launched in March. Very exciting!

The trip was a great experience, as I expected my months of planning went a little pear shaped for a number of reasons but guess what? That's a good thing. 

You see whilst the goal of this road trip is to raise money for MS, the story and how we needed to adapt to change is all part of what I am trying to inspire people with. Life is too short to be sitting at home watching precious moments pass by, we are often held back by fear or perhaps even by lack of knowledge. 

During our trip I had an almost 4 year old in the car for up to 8 hours some days. The way I managed this in a manner that allowed us to remain healthy and have a good time, is part of my learning and something that I wish to share with others.  

A day does not go past when Lola doesn't mention something about the trip or ask when we're next going. What a great gift to give a child whilst also doing something I'm incredibly passionate about. 

I shall leave it there for now as I am off to write another chapter of the book but rest assured. Now that I firmly have my mojo back you will see more blog posts and photos of the trip as we come closer to the launch of the book. 

To those who have donated already, thank you so much.  The campaign continues here on Just Giving but the main target now is to reach £5,000 with sales of the book.

2013 - 5,000 KM with a 3 year old! I must be mad!

I must be crazy, but I'm taking my 3 year old daughter off on a road trip through Europe this summer. My father has suffered with MS for 34 years, and I am seizing the opportunity while my daughter is still young to do something positive for the charity. 

The car I am taking has already travelled 1 million kms and started life in Australia, I am simply the next guardian of the car taking it off on a new leg of it's journey.  As well as raising funds through this Just Giving Page I am also writing a book which will come after the event so it's a big project all in all!

Currently my target is 5,000 KM, and as my title says I'd love to raise  the same amount in pounds. If I manage to get 5000 people to donate a pound it is not beyond reach!
