Story

As some of you aware on 2nd of October 2022, I will be running London Marathon. This is a big challenge for me personally as it’s the first running event I have ever taken part in. This is something I have always wanted to do, and what better way than running it to raise money for a charity close to my heart.

CRY is a charity set up to provide screening facilities to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). Devastatingly in 2010 my cousin Dean Mason was one of these people who died at the young age of 26 due to undetected heart defect. With your donation, CRY can work with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.

Many thanks in advance for your support, Jade

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.
