Thomas's Fund provides Music Therapy in Northants for children (0-19) with life limiting illnesses or a disability, which, due to medical reasons, means they are too ill to attend school for extended periods. The Fund is dedicated to Thomas Smith who died, aged 10, from a life limiting condition.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. If you have the time please take a look at the website and other social media for Thomas’s Fund www.thomassfund.org .

Thomas’s Fund is a charity that provides music therapy for children and young people (0-19) in Northamptonshire with life-limiting illnesses (or life-threatening conditions) and/or a disability which, for medical reasons, means they are too ill to attend school, or an Early Years setting, for extended periods.  This charity is so dear to my heart, named after and inspired by my nephew Thomas, who, like his younger brother Harry, had life limiting neurodegenerative conditions.  Music therapy was so important to my nephews and I am in awe of the hard work my sister Lucy, her husband Tim and their band of amazing supporters put into setting up and running the charity, and raising funds to keep it going.

am truly honoured to be running for Thomas, in his memory. Obviously with the musical theme I shall welcome suggestions for the half marathon playlist on the day!

Yes it is a cliché but every little helps, so please give whatever you can. Those who know me best will know that for me, the run is possibly the easy part! Taking to social media to post this is a bigger challenge, and has to be worth a donation.
