Joseph Michael Kendrick is 15 years old and has Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia, a rare genetic disorder that affects one in 60,000 new-borns. The condition is so serious that less than 500 people in the world are living with it. Joseph’s Goal has been set up to raise funds and awareness into NKH.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have not run properly for years and years but have been greatly inspired by my husband who has recently run the Leeds 10K for our little boy, Joseph.

Goodness knows whether I will actually be able to run it or end up walking but I am doing this to raise awareness and to raise money to find a cure for our little Joe.

Joseph’s Goal has been set up to raise funds and awareness into NKH (Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia).

Every penny raised will be wired across to Dr Johan Van Hove at the University of Colorado, who is the world leader in researching the condition that affects our son, Joseph.

Because it is so incredibly rare, and as a result so little research has been undertaken, literally every penny raised can and will make a real difference.
