Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2022 I will face one of my biggest fears/phobias  which is open water swimming! I have been determined to address this for a long time and got involved with cold water swimming in December 2020. Yes it’s cold, yes it’s wet...but it’s exhilarating and has kept my head straight during lockdown!

I love to challenge myself and feel this will be the ultimate challenge and will top anything I’ve done before! So when the opportunity arose to swim the channel as part of a relay team I initially bricked it and said NO....then I got to thinking what an amazing challenge it would be and what a brilliant charity we could take on this challenge for.

Cosmic is a charity that supports infants, children and their families that are in neo-natal intensive care units.

The work they do is amazing and their support is described as priceless by those that have experience it.

The channel swim itself isn’t until July 2022 but training starts now! Cold water swims will continue, whatever the weather and there’ll be lots of fun and challenges taken on along the way to give you a laugh and hopefully raise much needed funds along the way. Thank you for taking the time to read this xx
