Disability Snowsport UK’s vision is of mountains and ski slopes free from barriers. It's our mission to make snowsport accessible for everyone; regardless of disability, injury or experience.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising page and we hope you can add a little bit to our pot!

After meeting each other at Aiglon and being room mates for the first year we quickly became close friends. Not only did we spend a lot of time living together we also had a lot of shared interests, such as skiing and running.

Within Aiglon we were both part of the ski race team as well as taking part in many of the Tour de Chablais 10km runs around the Swiss Alps.

We decided to follow on the principles we learned from Aiglon and are challenging ourselves to do The Great North Run 2017. We are running in support of Disability Snowsports (DSUK) who provide opportunities for people with disabilities to share our passion for snowsports.

Emma's brother Jack has been supported by this charity after loosing his leg to childhood cancer. DSUK gave Jack the foundation to his career in ski racing by offering him the opportunities to get on snow. He is now racing for Team GB and on the road to the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics.

This is why we have decided it is an important cause to run for and we hope you support us by donating!
