I'm taking on the Nine Mile Challenge this September to raise funds for Cats Protection. I have had two cats from Cats Protection, my lovely Tessy since 2006 and my “brother” Louie from 2004, who lived with my Parents. We had to put our lovely Louie to sleep a year ago, so this fundraiser is in his memory.

During 2020 I’ve gone for walks every day since lockdown began in mid March (usually 2.5-3.5km per day), and I thought, what better way to make the most of this new activity, but doing it for a good cause too! 9 miles is just under 14.5km. Health permitting, I will try and complete my nine miles in as short a time as possible, but will treat the whole of September as a challenge to push my walking a bit further as the cooler weather sets in. Over the month I’ll be doing a lot more than nine miles!
