Fundraising for Prostate Cancer Research
Story
As many of you are aware our step-Dad Chris has been battling this disease for quite some time now, he has/is doing this with dignity, pride and the most amazing strength.
We often feel guilty for not doing enough or sometimes being there enough, it's been a rollercoaster of emotions, good and bad for himself and all our family and friends involved.
The treatment Chris has had, has always been second to none, sometimes it takes illness or bad situations in life to realise how lucky we are to be healthy when we are, but to also receive the fantastic treatment we receive when we are poorly.
Anyone who knows us know our family and friends mean the world to me and also know WE DO NOT RUN ...but We had to pick something ridiculous and extremely challenging to do, so, what better than the London marathon!!! We feel so honoured that I have been chosen for one of the few places provided out of over 250 people...so We really do have to do this don't We!To say we are scared... in fact petfrified is an understatement but with what Chris goes through daily, along with many others, We are determined to do this and hopefully raise as much money to put back into this incredible charity!
So please please dig deep, We don't expect to be fast or come first but We do promise to be up at 5 am 3 mornings a week to be as fit as We possibly can, to be able to do Chris proud and complete this mad marathon!

Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page. Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men. Over 11,000 men die every year in the UK and the number increases every year. The Mission of PCRC is to develop new therapy for men with advanced prostate cancer. The immediate goal is to increase survival and their vision is a cure for the disease. Every pound raised will help PCRC achieve their vision.
