Help raise £50K for a new Rescue Control Vehicle to replace our 18 year old van. Dartmoor Search & Rescue Tavistock receives no government funding and relies solely on donations. We are all volunteers, on-call 24/7 to help the lost and injured.

Story

This project is to support the search and rescue team for my region in Dartmoor. The search and rescue teams are absolutely brilliant and deal with those of us who might, from time to time, get stuck on the moor a little beyond our abilities to get home safely.

With every donation you make through this page I'll send you a digital copy of one of my Dartmoor-related artworks. Any donation over £15.00 and I will mail an original, signed print to an address of your choosing (send it to yourself; send it as a gift...).

I will pay for postage to anywhere in the world. This project costs the search and rescue team absolutely nothing*.

Note to UK residents: because you are receiving a gift/reward for the donation, your donation is NOT eligible for Gift Aid. If you want to increase the value of your donation to the search and rescue team, please donate directly to them (but no "rewards" from me if you do).

More from the Search and Rescue appeal:

RESCUE-50 is an appeal to raise £50,000 in 2020 for a new Rescue Control Vehicle for the Team.We need to replace the 18 year old 03 Control Vehicle with a new van, fitted out with state-of-the-art mapping and communications equipment. It will be our new mobile Command & Control Centre.DSRT Tavistock has been saving lives on Dartmoor since 1968 and is made up entirely of volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. We operate through the Police and search for & rescue the injured, lost or missing on Dartmoor and surrounding areas. Unlike other emergency services, we are able to search, rescue, treat and evacuate casualties in the most remote areas of Dartmoor and in the most extreme conditions. DSRT Tavistock receives no government funding at all and relies solely on donations to remain operational and replace old equipment. We cannot operate without the donations and fundraising from people like you!

* the JustGiving platform does take a small processing fee. I take nothing.
