Story
During the pandemic we lost someone very close to us, my Mum, Sue, who was a kind, strong and fiercely determined woman; all atributes I thankfully seem to have inherited to make me a very determined ultra runner! And whilst everyone else thought I was mad with my running adventures and endevours, she was always excited, curious and my biggest cheerleader. I can't think of a better thing to do than to raise some money for the wonderful charity who looked after all of us through Mums short journey of cancer.
So, what better way to fundraise than doing a crazy 236 mile race over 6 days with 57,000 ft of elevation down the spine of Wales?! I decided that I wanted to do this race a few years ago and James also wants to take on the challenge but sadly is unable to this year due to a torn achilies that is healing slowly.
I'm going to miss Mum and James more than anything over the 6 days.
If she was here, Mum would be sending me so many messages and she would have been so keen to hear all about it!!! I just feel lucky I had her for 32 years. If anyone can help a family like ours please give a little. Even if it's £5, this could be a contribution to a family to get the amazing care that we did.
