Diving with the Injured
Campaign by Fisher House (RCN 1165716)
Supporting military patient rehabilitation and resilience by teaching patients to dive and training them to be instructors for future military patients

Story

Diving with the Injured supports wounded and injured military service personnel in their rehabilitation, building resilience and confidence, by teaching them to dive and even become diving instructors to future military patients.

In January we are taking 9 veterans to Djibouti for a week long diving expedition. There will be emphasis on learning new skills, training, and teamwork. Previous trips have had very positive feedback from those who benefit from the generosity of donations which allow the veterans to come with minimal personal cost.

“The memories will stay with me for a lifetime. Diving with other injured servicemen made me feel part of a group again. I had an amazing time” - Veteran from previous trip
