Jurassic Coast Challenge · 14 May 2022 to 15 May 2022 ·
I will be taking part in the Jurassic Coast Challenge on the 14th May 2022. Hiking 100km along the spectacular World Heritage coastline, starting in Corfe Castle, the route heads down to Swanage, and along through Lulworth Cove, past Durdle Door, with ups & downs to Weymouth at half way. It's then past Portland Bill, Chesil Beach, and on to West Bay’s cliffs (of TV’s Broadchurch) – before finishing in the vibrant Dorset town of Bridport.
I will be raising money for a fantastic charity, Diverse Abilities. It's the only charity that supports children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities in Dorset. We cannot change people’s disabilities but, with your help, we can make their lives fun and fulfilled, giving them a future they truly deserve.
Diverse Abilities is Dorset's disability charity and the only organisation in the county supporting both children and adults with physical and/or learning disabilities, and their families. It costs around £19,000 a day to run the charity, providing over 280,000 hours of care across its variety of services including respite care, a specialist school, care in the home, activity and play sessions, physio and hydrotherapy, an advice line and much more.
