<p>On the 1st of April 2012, we lost someone who will never be replaced. A great Dad, Brother, Partner, Friend... an allround good guy.</p> <p>Just before Christmas 2011, Gary was having dizzy spells and often found himself collapsing and blacking out without any warning signs. After a visit to the doctors, Gary was diagnosed with Syncope.&nbsp;</p> <p>Syncope is a medical term for fainting which can be linked to the heart or the brain.&nbsp;</p> <p>As we all know, Gary enjoyed going out for a jog and riding his bike. He was led to believe he had a healthy heart... (<em>Not to mention, a heart of gold!</em>)&nbsp;</p> <p>Sadly, Gary passed away due to Arrhythmia of the Heart. This means his heart was not beating in a steady rhythm, and could have been an underlining cause of his Syncope.&nbsp;</p> <p>STARS is a registered charity which helps raise awareness of Syncope.
