I am running the half marathon to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK for my amazing Nan who has suffered with the disease for over 10 years. It is a charity that is very close to my heart.

All of our friends and family have watched my poor Nan suffer and slowly get worse over the years. She is now at the stage now where she doesn't know who anyone is or anyone's names, including her own children. I want research to put an end to a horrible condition so that other families do not have to experience what we have.
