Two years on from our first Rushcliffe Arena Spinathon, we are back again! Challenging ourselves once again to do four consecutive hours of spinning, we hope to raise funds for a really worthwhile organisation, in great need of increased awareness of their work, and funding to carry out that work.  Ocumel UK supports anyone who has been affected by eye cancer.  Our instructor Gil's daughter-in-law recently lost her mother to this rare form of the disease, and while she received fantastic support throughout her illness, there will be many people who know very little about this form of cancer - what are the causes, how can it be treated, what can be done to make the journey more comfortable... By raising funds for Ocumel UK, we hope to enable them to take a step closer to funding more research to not only deepen understanding, but also put this disease on the radar of a wider audience.
