Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have set myself the challenge of completing the Lake District 4 Fell Challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.  It seems the perfect challenge to take as it is right on my door step and raising money for a wonderful charity.

Many of you will know that Dad sadly died earlier this year due to complications arising from sarcomas which he had in his pelvis and lungs.  He fought the disease in his typical determined fashion, but it finally got the better of him.  It did mean that in the last few years, he hadn't been able to get out and about and enjoy the great outdoors as much as he would have liked.  He always loved his fishing, and liked nothing more than an afternoon on the River Nith, or Loch Ness when they lived in the Highlands, trying to catch that elusive salmon.

Therefore an outdoor theme seemed perfect to raise some money to help the wonderful work of Macmillan Cancer Support, so a leisurely stroll up 4 of the Lake's biggest peaks seemed the ideal way to do it!!!  If only it was that easy!!

I am a girl who grew up in the Fens, which is not renowned for it's mountain peaks!  However, 9 years in the Lakes have made the hills a little easier, although still hard work.  To walk 13 miles up and down fells will be a definite challenge, so please support me in any way you can.  Any donation, large or small will be gratefully received, and you will be helping a wonderful charity.

Thank you for all your help and support xxxx
