Canterbury Half Marathon 2023 · 28 August 2023 ·

Held against the beautiful backdrop of the Kent Downs, the 13.1-mile course challenges the novice and veteran alike as runners navigate the undulating country lanes on the outskirts of this historic city.

Story

I'm raising money for Pilgrims Hospices by running the Canterbury Half Marathon on Monday 28th August 2023 and then five days later a marathon at the Runbelievable Black Hugin Challenge.

All the volunteers and staff at Canterbury Pilgrims Hospice were absolute heroes in making my dad as happy and as comfortable as possible in his final days and were so good to us as a family, especially my mum in such a sad and awful time.

I will be an emotional wreck during these races but will also have lots of wonderful memories of my amazing dad and the brilliant childhoods he provided for us all.  One of my favourite sayings from his last week was “Everyday is a bonus”

I can honestly say life will never be as good without him in it, he was simply the best ❤️

Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page and donating to help Pilgrims deliver skilled and compassionate end-of-life care, free of charge, to thousands of people in east Kent every year. Your support is appreciated and so important, thank you.
