Coming out, or being outed as LGBTQ+ can lead to young people being made homeless. This is the reality for 77% of the young people akt supports. We proudly offer safe homes and better futures for LGBTQ+ people aged 16-25.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm abseiling the Orbit to raise money for the Albert Kennedy Trust. The Trust supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) homeless young people in crisis. It also supports young LGBT people living in a violent, hostile, or abusive home. I'm fortunate to have been totally accepted by my family but other people are not met with such acceptance. There are a lot of young people who have been pushed aside or abused by their families just for being who they are. The Albert Kennedy Trust helps these young people to piece their lives back together and offers them the support their families do not provide for them.

The Albert Kennedy Trust is the first charity allowed to organise a fundraising abseil from the Orbit, which stands at over 100m and is the tallest sculpture in the UK.

I would be grateful if you could donate to this wonderful charity and help these young people to thrive.

Thank you :)
