This is my second half marathon, but it still doesn’t make it less scarey! I ran this half marathon last year, it was tough, I lost 2 toe nails and had a massive blister. This year I aim to make it round quicker, with all toe nails intact and lovely smooth feet. WIll that happen? Who knows! Any money you can donate to this cause, whether it’s £3 you would have spent on coffee or £50 on a slap up meal, I am so so grateful for it all as it helps such a fantastic charity and will get me around this course!

Why this charity? There are so many worthy and fantastic charities out there to support. This is a charity not many people my age support, as it's not really on the radar yet for many people or families that I know. However, my husband's support for this charity through his work has enabled me to gain a better understanding of what the charity does. The Befriending Service is amazing: befrienders are volunteers, who spare an hour or two a week to visit a lonely or isolated older person. I'd like to raise money for this great service.
