I'm taking on 100km in May for Bliss, the UK's leading charity helping babies born premature or full-term, but sick. 1 in every 7 babies born in the UK will need specialist neonatal care, which means thousands of babies and their families seek information and support from Bliss every year. By sponsoring me, your donation will help Bliss continue their work to ensure that every baby born premature or full-term who needs neonatal care will have the best chance of survival and quality of life.
My partner and I have had direct experience with Bliss and the amazing work they are doing to support families, babies and research related to premature and poorly babies.
Our daughter's Florence and Bethany were born at 24 weeks and 4 days. We spent 100 days in NICU. When they were born we were catapulted into a new world full of scary medical terms and things we had no understanding or knowledge of. Bliss helped us come to terms with what was happening and explaining what certain things were, like ROP, PDA, and CRP. As a new parent in this scary new world, the stories of those who had been where we were helped reassure us and give us hope. We are doing this so they can continue to do the amazing work they already do and so they can have positive impacts on many more people.
Please give as much or as little as you can.
