The Aspire Channel Swim 2015 · 1 March 2016 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. Over the next 12 weeks I'll be swimming the 22 miles of the English Channel! That's 1,408 lengths of Ribblesdale Swimming Pool. Whilst this is a personal challenge for myself it is to raise money for people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injuries. Every eight hours someone is paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury. It can happen to anyone at any time, and there is currently no cure. Every pound that I raise means that Aspire can provide practical help to a spinal injured person, allowing them to live a more independent life, so please donate anything from one pound to as much as you can and help me make a difference. Thank you all for supporting me xx
