Story

Welcome to my Just Giving fundraising page! I am running the Edinburgh Half Marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support in order to raise as much money as possible. My beautiful cousin Liz lost such an strong fight to cancer in June 2018. She was an incredible human who done anything for anyone and cared for everyone. Her death affected the family hard, we all adored her, she was an inspiration and always had the time for me, you could feel her love the minute you seen her. I came back from her funeral in shock, it was a hard day which  I won’t forget for a long time. I lay in bed that night after her funeral in tears and thought what can I do, how can I turn my tears into something positive, Liz was a tower of strength and turned every negative into a positive so that’s when I thought of the half marathon, running to support a cause that supported my cousin and her beautiful children through their toughest times. Cancer sucks, I think everyone I know has been touched in some way by it! I, myself was diagnosed with skin cancer in August 2018 and I am using Macmillan services every few months now for checks. What Macmillan do for patients and for families is just incredible, they go above and beyond.
Please donate to support an awesome cause so they can continue to support those affected by cancer:
