I work for CAP UK; a wonderful local charity supporting children and their families to keep SAFE STRONG AND FREE! 

Child Assault Prevention (CAP) works in school environments to deliver workshops to pupils to empower them to be strong and aware of various ways to keep safe   

Unfortunately, child abuse is very real. The NSPCC estimates that 1 child dies every week in the UK at the hands of someone known to them. Research shows that at least one in ten children suffer some form of abuse.

CAP UK is proud to be working with whole communities towards recognizing child abuse and teaching skills to know how to deal with it. Based on an international programme that began in 1978 in the USA, CAP UK has been culturally tailored and running in Devon since 1995. During this time we have reached thousands of children with our important messages.

For “Giving Tuesday”, a global day recognising charities and their works, my son Kit and I have decided to give a little to many of the wonderful local school settings in our area  

We plan to walk to over 20 educational settings in one go including nurseries, primary and secondary schools , collecting littler along the way to help their immediate environment and their communities as our simple “gift” to these schools children and families   

We will take photos outside each setting we visit so look out for us on social media and tag us into your school social media if we make it to your school!! 

Any donation at all no matter how small will help us at CAP continue to deliver these workshops to help our young people recognise abuse and how to get help
