Walking on Hot Coals · 25 January 2023

Every day TCV works across the UK to create healthier and happier communities for everyone - communities where our activities have a lasting impact on people’s health, prospects and outdoor places. Join in, feel good.

Story

At GatenbySanderson, we are proud to be supporting The Conservation Volunteers as our chosen 'Charity of the Year' until April 2023.

A 'brave' team of us (including me!) are walking on hot coals on 25th January as part of our fundraising effort.  We are each set on raising at least £100 towards our company's overall target of £5,000 for the year.

This will be a whole new experience for me as well as a new way to raise money for a great cause.  My hope is that it is less painful on my feet than running a marathon but let's see....

TCV’s inspiring work gives everyone an opportunity to contribute positively against the challenges of climate change so do have a look at what they are doing locally to you - there are activities that anybody can get involved with.

TCV bring people together to create, improve and care for green spaces. From local parks and community gardens to Local Nature Reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest; from school grounds and hospital grounds to waterways, wetlands and woodlands; we connect people to the green spaces that form a vital part of any healthy, happy community.TCV's team of dedicated, passionate staff and volunteers work with communities across England, Northern Ireland and Scotland and, through our Community Network, we support local community groups across the UK.Our partnership and fundraising for TCV can help pay for continuing the vital work TCV do across the country to make our public spaces greener and more vibrant. Not only does the work of TCV help our public spaces contribute against the negative impacts of climate change, but they also provide a fantastic opportunity to get outside, get active, build relationships with new people and be part of something exciting and rewarding.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated for this excellent cause.
