Walk 100k in March Challenge · 1 March 2024 to 15 April 2024 ·

Walk 100 Kilometres in March for SCAA, wherever and however you like and keep us flying and saving lives in Scotland.

Story

In November 2021, my youngest child who was 8 months old, had RSV and was suffering from severe breathing difficulties.  On being collected by a local ambiance crew, they made the call to get the air ambulance in to take us from Dunvegan, Isle of Skye to Raigmore Hospital on the mainland.

I was already feeling anxious with a poorly baby, and having never been on a helicopter before the nerves were kicking in but the crew on board made me feel totally at ease. After 3 days in hospital, we were finally able to get home.

Now that wee boy turns 3 this March! With spring in the air I'm wanting to get motivated to get back walking again to up the fitness levels, and help with the recovery of a foot injury as well raise money for a worthwhile cause.

Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I'm challenging myself to Walk 100 Kilometres in March for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support!
