Dementia is a disease close to my heart. In my role in the older persons mental health team I work closely with patients and families affected by this condition and through them I see how devastating this illness is. It’s not only in my work place that dementia affects my life. Many of my friends are having to go through this awful journey with their parents or spouses and I want to do everything I can to work towards finding a cure.
