Story
Hi! My name is Emma, I’m 30 years old and in April 2027, I’ll be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon and, most importantly, running to raise money for PSPA.
I chose PSPA for a very personal reason. A close friend’s dad sadly lost his life to progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), a rare neurological condition that can have a devastating impact on both the person living with it and the people around them.
PSPA is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people affected by PSP and related conditions, providing information, advice and support to those living with these incredibly challenging illnesses, as well as to their families and carers.
Having seen the impact PSP can have on a family, I wanted to do something to help raise awareness and support the work PSPA does. So, what better way than setting myself a big challenge and running 13.1 miles through the streets of London? 🏃♀️
The training has officially begun, and I’m excited (and slightly terrified!) to share the whole journey! The good runs, the bad runs, the inevitable aches and hopefully crossing that finish line in April. 💪
If you’d like to support me and help me raise as much as possible for PSPA, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help. 💜
Here’s to the miles ahead! 🏃♀️✨
