Mount Edgcumbe is the place my mum chose to spend her last days. It's a beautiful location and the staff work wonderfully hard to make the hardest of times, that bit easier. 

Completing the challenge of walking approximately 30 miles from Padstow to Fowey will hopefully raise funds for the hospice to continue to provide the support needed by so many at the end of their lives.

In all honesty, when I signed up, I thought it was a direct route to follow in a 'Yellow brick road' sort of way. I since found out that it will require some navigating and decision making which is the scariest part for me!

The challenge is open for people to complete the journey in sections throughout all of September. However, Katie and I have chosen to give it a go in one as we feel your generosity deserves our effort and determination.
