Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Emma’s wish.

Myself and Cate will be attempting to summit Mont Blanc in September and I will be running the Copenhagen Ironman in August to raise money for Emma. Both of these events are sponsored by Lime Property Hull, Sports Direct Hull and Xiom, J.welburn plumbing and heating, Mill Lane Autos Beverly and pattern Imprinted Concrete.

Emma is my two years old daughter and was born nine weeks premature. As a result, Emma has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, which mainly affects her ability to walk due to the extremely tight spasticity in her legs. She has stretches and exercises to do 3 times a day and intensive physiotherapy every 4 weeks.

Emma is an amazing little girl and a real character, who has been through a lot in her life already. She loves swimming and pretty much anything will make her laugh. She’s a strong little lady and just wants to be able to walk on her own.

There is an operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) available in Leeds hospital that can massively improve her quality of life and her ability to walk unaided. The operation and rehab costs are around £40,000. So we are trying to raise the money so she can get the help she needs.

I’d like to say a massive thank you to all the people who have helped get this up and running. You know who you are. And thank you to all the people who have already started fund raising. Its amazing to have you all on board.
