Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Since 2009, I am discovering my limits on long distance events and ultra marathons. UTMB 106km, Ultra Trail Mont Blanc TDS 120km, Paris Eco Trail 80km, London Ultra, Dorset Ultra and Anatolian Ultra Mountain Marathon are the events i have finished.

On March 1st; I will be running the Trans Gran Canaria race which is 119kms long and i have to run up 7.300m+ and down 7.000m in the mountains of Gran Canaria; Spain.

I am training for this race since 20 weeks and running more than 90-110kms/ week; basically getting up 05:00 on some of the days when you are still sleeping.

I am also a charity runner in Turkey where i had raised over 10.000 USD for Spinal Paralysis Charity between 2008 and 2011.

For those who do not know me, I am 37, Industrial Engineer, blogger (www.geziyorum.net), Turkish and proud of living in London with my wife since 2011 March.

I have worked in several IVR and speech recognition services for the blind people during 2004-2007 in a mobile operator. I know the struggle behind the problems and how a guide dog can solve many for the blind people. That`s why I selected Guide Dogs for the Blind as my Charity.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
