Emily's hair cut to support young people diagnosed with cancer · 16 February 2018

It is our aim to raise funds to assist in the treatment and care of teenagers and young people under the age of 24, within Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly, primarily for those undergoing and having had cancer and leukaemia treatment.

Story

Hi my name's Emily, I'm 15 years old and live in Cornwall.

I had heard that donating hair to an organisation who makes wigs for young people diagnosed with cancer can make a real difference to people's lives. Living with long hair for a while, it started to get in the way and so I decided to put it to good use instead of just watching it get swept away by the hairdresser. I can't imagine what it is like knowing that you are diagnosed with cancer let alone living with it and so I wanted to make a difference and donate around 15 inches of my hair around the time of Easter to make a wig for somebody diagnosed with cancer to the Little Princess Trust and in the process raise money for this amazing local charity (LARF). Please support my appeal and the great work of all involved in supporting young people in their treatment for cancer.
