My beautiful, amazing mum passed away on Saturday 8th July 2017, after being diagnosed with Meningitis just 3 days before.
She was just 65 years old. Her and my father have shared 47 amazing happy years together and their lives were just about to take a new direction as they were both retiring. My whole family have been devastated by her loss and I want to do something productive in an attempt to help raise funds so no other family have to go through this heart ache and no other person has to suffer like my poor mum.

Those that know me, know I am a self confessed hater of road running, but feel I have to do this to give me something to focus on as my mum was my best friend, I spoke to her daily and I want to use the time I would have normally spent seeing her, preparing for the marathon and hopefully raise some funds for a very worthy cause, to do my bit in stopping this happening to any other families.....and to make my mum even prouder than I know she already is xx
