Valery's Lights, Camera, Action - RUN

Lights, Camera, Action - RUN · 21 February 2021
Encephalitis is an inflammation of the brain. Anyone at any age can get encephalitis. There are up to 6,000 cases in the UK & Ireland each year.
I was diagnosed with Viral Encephalitis with secondary haemorrhage in 2012.
I'm very proud to have recovered so well but it had left me suffering from partial seizures, anxiety and poor emotional control.
I have never been able to openly speak about it and I had always felt so embarrassed of how I was feeling. I feel my anxiety creep in on me like a cloud on a rainy day, sometimes I have the power to push it away but other days it just feels like I am in a jar and I’m stuck there with no close view of sunshine.
I am lucky to be surrounded by amazing people and my doggy who all stand by me and understand how I feel and when they ask me “how are you feeling today?” I know exactly what they’re asking me and I know I can tell them exactly how I am.
But now, its my turn to help the other amazing people who have been affected and raise money for the Encephalitis Society - https://www.encephalitis.info/
I am going to be running a half Marathon on 21st February. From Weybridge point to Hampton Court Palace and BACK!
I am grateful for all of your support and thoughts! Please help and share my story further.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
