Endless Lockdown #EndCaptivity

End captivity for Whales and Dolphins · 9 June 2020
We are a group of master students from the University of Bath conducting an Action project as part of our degree. We are blessed with the opportunity to raise awareness and money for the fantastic work that the Whale and Dolphin conservation does. The campaign is orientated around supporting ending the captivity of whales and dolphins. With your donation, the WDC can begin to change this horrid tradition of kidnapping and imprison these majestic animals against their will.
If you're reading this, you may have endured the struggle of lockdown, facing a new lifestyle of been stuck inside for long periods conducting the same repetitive behaviours. During the period, you may have felt isolated, bored, frustrated and even despair while captive whales and dolphins endure those feelings since being kidnapped at a young age. More than ever we can empathise with orcas and dolphins used purely for 'entertainment'. It's very upsetting that parks still drug and abuse these animals into performing against there will, with the death rate for captive orcas is 2.5 times higher than in the wild. Change is needed more than ever to protect these endangered animals against the being captured.
The WDC has made great strides forward in banning captivity in India, Virgin ended support for SeaWorld and helped in the stop of beluga whale imports in the US. As they continue to continually progress, they need your help to Stop the capture! End the demand! And Create sanctuaries! This project will bought to you by Boorachat, William, Siddhant, Yan, Hardik and Zhiyan. Please donate as every little helps.
