Morrisons Eastbourne Community Champion, Kim Hatcher-Davies invited me to sing in store for a charity of my choice and I've chosen ENDOMETRIOSIS UK.
My daughter has this chronic and debilitating condition. She has already undergone surgery to cut out tissue growth, and will require additional surgeries throughout her life, as will many other people that suffer. It affects one in 10 women.
Endometriosis is a long-term condition that sees tissue similar to the lining of the womb grow in other parts of the body, generally on organs in the pelvic cavity such as the ovaries, fallopian tubes and bowel. It can be painful and may have a devastating impact on a woman's education, personal and professional relationships, mental health and quality of life.
I know this is a challenging financial time for everyone, so not expecting huge donations, one pound or two will be gratefully received. Thank you.
