We are inviting donations to the Environmental Investigation Agency to celebrate Susanna Ala-Kurikka, who sadly passed away in May 2018, and, in some small measure, carry forward the impact she was making in her life.

Susanna worked much of her career in environmental policy as a journalist, campaigner and researcher, not least for ENDS Europe as a reporter, then editor until 2017. She was much loved and respected as a member of the ENDS team for her rigorous work and luminous personality.

In May 2018, Susanna died unexpectedly after a sudden illness. She had given birth to her first daughter only five months before and was in the progress of completing a PhD in managing demand for energy.

Susanna was fiercely committed to environmental causes, in particular climate change and conservation issues. We hope to reflect her passion and her life through this page to help the work of the Environmental Investigation Agency, which investigates and campaigns against environmental crime to protect wildlife, forests, oceans and climate.
