Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As an 'endurance woman' I've taken part in a lot of events, but when I hit 50 I decided to go for the big one – the Ironman. This (and being 50 ;) has taken me welll and truly out of my comfort zone.

I want to raise money for BEAT eating disorders as I see too many (usually young) people suffering from the turmoil of these often misunderstood disorders.

Here's my story: https://endurancewomen.com/2017/11/11/why-im-an-endurance-woman/.

Events include:

  • April 27th: Swimathon - completed
  • April 29th: Puncher 65 mile bike ride - completed
  • May 29th: Swashbuckler Middle Distance Triathlon, New Forest - completed
  • June 10th: Eastbourne Sprint Tri - completed
  • July 7th: Palace to Paddle 2.5K swim - completed
  • July 15th: Tribesman Middle Distance Triathlon, Galway - completed
  • August 7th: Arundel Triathlon, Olympic Distance - didn't do because of collar bone
  • September 9th: Barcelona course recce - not an event but 100 miles done
  • Read more about my training and events https://endurancewomen.com/category/ironman-barcelona/training-log/
  • October 7th: BARCELONA IRONMAN

Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. Our mission is to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders. These serious mental illnesses ruin and, too often, take lives. Our Helpline is available online or by phone for anyone suffering, as well as their family and friends.
