Story
Our Personal Trainer, Norie, suffered a heart attack while walking home from shopping around two and a half years ago. She was just 24 at the time. After she recovered, her condition was diagnosed as Arterial Insufficiency with Dilated Cardiomyopathy which can cause blood-clot at any time leading to another heart attack or stroke without any symptoms. Her doctors have tried different medications which haven’t worked well so far and she's currently on a new set which we hope will work. Failing that, the next step may be surgery.
Taking these medications comes with many side-effects which include dizziness, vomiting, shaking, chest and bone pain and headache. Although it’s tough, Norie keeps fighting every single day. But Norie says that she's strong enough to cope and is grateful for having amazing people around her who give her the best support that she can hope for.
All colleagues at énergie Fintess Catford are supremely inspired by her fortitude and we are in awe of how an amazing person and Personal Trainer she is. By endeavouring to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation, we are very much aware we can contribute positively in whatever little way to help people like Norie lead a normal life.
We wish to support the amazing work the people at the BHF do to help people get the treatment aimed at improving their life. Their dogged efforts mean that more people can lead a fuller life which could make a fundamental change to their quality of life.
Thanks for your donations!
