Energy Live News raises money for Arthritis Research UK

Energy Live News raises money for Arthritis Research UK · 18 June 2018
Our editor and co-founder Sumit Bose has been living with Rheumatoid Arthritis since 2014. It’s a debilitating, crippling disease which leaves you unable to do the simplest of things; opening a jam jar, putting on shoes, squeezing toothpaste and even the humble handshake.
But the oddest thing is he looks fine, as do all people who have RA. It’s often called the ‘invisible disease’ where you look absolutely fine but are suffering with terrible pain 24 hours a day.
It is NOT just a disease of the old, hundreds of thousands of younger people suffer from RA, with hobbies, careers and even families on hold. It cannot be cured but with the right treatment you can live an almost normal life.
Energy Live News will be raising money for Arthritis Research UK, now called Versus Arthritis, who are at the cutting edge of work in finding a way to help us beat this insidious disease. We will be rasing money and awareness through our awards and events including our Power Ride bike challenge and plenty more.
The Energy sector often gets a bad rep but we know it's full of amazing people who care about society and these events will bring the sector together for this great cause. Do help us if you can.
