Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Enfields to India fundraising page, a 10,000 mile challenge riding classic old Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles from London to Chennai in India.

In September 2011, 4 adventurous riders will embark on an epic 2 month journey from the original home of Royal Enfield motorcycles in the UK, to their new adopted home in Chennai, South East India. Our journey will take us from the shores of England passing through France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and into Turkey. Crossing the Bosporus in Istanbul into the Middle East we will continue through Turkey to Iran, Pakistan and the Himalayan ranges in Northern India before turning south to take in the sights and experience the Indian countryside from the saddle.

We are undertaking this adventure in support of the White Lodge Centre, a charity based organisation that provide care and support to disabled children, young people and adults, families and carers in Surrey and the surrounding areas. 4 years ago, Mark’s son, Conor Kirby, had a traumatic entry to this world and the resultant complications with his birth have left him with severe brain damage, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and numerous other physical and developmental problems. The White Lodge Centre have helped not only Conor develop to the best of his abilities, but have also helped the family and countless other children and adults with their cerebral disabilities.
