Story

As you know, I have been settling into my new life in
London,  one thing I haven’t gotten used to is the weather!!!! One minute it’s 25˚C with blue skies, the next – rain showers!

Now, I have been thinking, what steps could I take to get used to this new climate? Why of course – I could submerge myself in an ice bath! Now this wouldn’t just be for the fun of it – it would be a great opportunity to raise some money towards the fantastic Alzheimer’s Society!

I must admit, I cannot take full credit, my son helped me
with the idea (I’m sure he won’t enjoy seeing me suffer in the freezing water!! 😉).
However, I thought this would be a great test for me.

Now the important bit! I am hoping to raise at least £1,500 and to make it more challenging I have come up with the following “thresholds”:

- £250 = I will stay in the ice bath for 2 minutes

- £500 = I will stay in the ice bath for 3 minutes

- £750 = I will stay in the ice bath for 4 minutes

- £1,000 = I will stay in the ice bath for 5 minutes

- £1,250 = I will stay in the ice bath for 6 minutes

- £1,500 or above = I will stay in the ice bath until being rescued by the emergency services….

For each £100 raised above £1,500, I will dunk my head in
the water for 2 seconds (trust me, this is a big ask!!!).

All donations will be greatly appreciated, it is truly a great cause

And just for fun, we’ll also live stream the event (you will
only be able to view this if you have donated!!).

Wish me luck and thank you!
