Story

In aid of our national charity Marie Curie, the ENR Strategy team are excited to participate in a full distance walk of 20km as part of the 2022 KPMG Big Walks series in Windsor on July 4th 2022 . We appreciate your support and any donation big or small helps.

Why we chose Marie Curie

Every one of us will be affected by the death of a loved one and experience the pain of bereavement. Along with Marie Curie, we share the same belief that everyone regardless of their background should have the same level of care, support and guidance whatever terminal illness they are facing.

What Marie Curie does

  • Support those with a terminal illness with the right care, support, and systems in place so they feel protected and cherished as they reach their final moments in life.
  • Provide frontline nursing and hospice care and give the best end of life care experience possible.
  • Offer a bereavement service to help those close to people who have passed.

You can learn more about the work they do on their website.

Why your help matters

This would mean they could:

  • Empower more people to make the plans and preparations necessary to protect themselves and their loved ones from confusion, uncertainty and pain as they near death.
  • Create an environment in which individual needs can be met.
  • Increase societal levels of acknowledging and dealing with death and dying.
  • Reach more people needing bereavement support and services.

Here are other ways your donation will support Marie Curie:

  • £50 could pay for materials for two art therapy sessions, helping people in Marie Curie hospices get creative and taking their mind off their worries, so they can relax and unwind
  • £60 could pay for a month's fuel for two volunteer drivers, each giving up their time to transport people to and from Marie Curie day therapy centres
  • £72 could sponsor a hospice-based research fellow for two hours, helping them to improve the ways that people are cared for at the end of their lives
  • £180 could pay for an overnight nursing shift, giving family and friends the chance to rest whilst Marie Curie Nurses care for their loved ones
