Animals Asia is devoted to ending the barbaric practice of bear bile farming and improving the welfare of animals in China and Vietnam. We promote compassion and respect for all animals and work to bring about long-term change.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our page!

It is almost 3 years since we left home by bicycle and we have ridden 18'000km. Now, we’ll cycle “for the bears”!

We are heading soon to China, in the Yunnan province, where bears are tortured for their bile to be extracted and used for some types of traditional medicine. Animals Asia Foundation rescues and rehabilitates the bears who have been horribly abused in special farms, awfully kept in tiny cages for years long. The charity works actively with Chinese and Vietnamese governments to end this cruel practice.

They are doing a wonderful job and we would like to support them.

We’ll dedicate our next 2’000 km to raise money in for Animals Asia. We hope that you share our same feelings and will help the bears by donating to the cause.

The "cycling deal":

It’s very simple:

We will sweat and push our bikes across the very mountainous region of Yunnan while you will encourage us by donating. Easy, isn’t it?

We hope to reach 20’000km ride and 3 years of being away from home together with you.

Ready for 2’000km in 2 months? J

So let’s go and follow us through our website: http://www.entreicietla.com/

By this sponsored riding we hope to set up awareness around us about the bear farming in Asia. Please, feel free to spread the voice in your entourage and help the bears to live safely in their natural habitat, free!

When ending our 2’000km we would like to visit the Animal Asia Sanctuary in Chengdu, where 167 bears live and receive care from the staff.
