This is very last minute, but I'm 'running' the Dublin Marathon again, tomorrow. I'm doing it for two reasons: I still have some dignity left to lose; and I'd like to raise some money for the Asthma Society of Ireland.
We all know people who have asthma, so I think it can become a quirky aspect of life, like having freckles, or enjoying the music of Bachman Turner Overdrive, but asthma is a serious condition and I've seen friends and family suffer its consequences, both as the person who has to live with the condition and parents and siblings who support them.
