My charity cycle challenge

FH 2020 Charity cycle · 1 September 2020 ·
Thank you for signing up to the Federated Hermes 2020 ride challenge! We know only too well the terrible impact brain cancer has had on all of us at Federated Hermes with the tragic loss of our much-loved colleague and friend, Aimee Stoffel, who lost her own battle with her cancer last year. Aimee loved biking, and we think she would have been up for this challenge. James Cook, who came up with the idea for this challenge, has his own reason for doing the ride. He is honouring a promise he made to his late father, Humphrey, who also, unfortunately, passed away from a brain tumour to ride from Hadrian’s Wall to the Hamble where he kept his beloved yacht. His twin sister was diagnosed with an anaplastic astrocytoma in 2012 and survives today which is nothing short of a miracle. Many of our riders have their personal reasons to ride. This ride challenge is to honour and celebrate our loved ones that have suffered from this disease and with your support, we are hoping to raise much needed funds for The Brain Tumour Charity. The Charity is at the forefront of the fight to defeat brain cancer and helps the lives of people with a brain tumour and their families. Wish us luck and fair weather and let’s see how far we can ride together against brain tumours!
