Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may know my brother Robert sadly passed away last December. He was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 1 years old and had been in a wheelchair ever since with severe learning difficulties. Mencap have supported kids and adults like my brother who cope with such disabilities and help raise awareness of fair treatment and equality for individuals when they cannot voice this themselves. As part of the eOne and Hasbro Global Day of Joy, I have put together a challenge for my eOne colleagues to tackle the Thames Path challenge, all 184 miles of it in 1 day. The distance normally takes the average person 14 days to complete so my hope is we can divide and conquer to reach the target. Mencap do such brilliant work in the community for people with learning difficulties. There hotline has been helping  individuals through covid who are not getting the care they need in hospital, the TREAT ME WELL campaign is prompting equal treatment for people with learning disabilities like my brother.  I hope we can raise enough money to support the helpline and get them an outdoor play structure to allow children with learning disabilities to develop their gross motor skills and peer relationships.
