We know what you’re thinking… “Who are V2?”
Well, V2 are a class of Student Constables at Essex Police College. After getting to know more about each other over the past fortnight, we realised we all have one thing in common, our love for fundraising! We came to a mutual agreement to try to raise as much as we can during our initial training period at EPC. We will be doing a range of activities from Sports, Community Projects and the traditional Bake Sales (When COVID-19 restrictions allow).
In August 2014, Isobel was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH), a rare form of cancer that affects 1 in 200,000 children each year globally. Unfortunately, Isobel did not respond to treatment. On 5th October 2014, a week after arriving on the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, Isobel had to be placed on a ventilator and, later that day, her parents made the worst decision any parent has to make. The Isobel Parmenter Memorial Fund was set up by Isobel's parents, Michael and Suzanne, in December 2015. It aims to raise awareness and funds vital research into diagnosing and treating Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, as well as supporting other children and their families whose lives have been affected by cancer.
We would greatly appreciate anything you are able to donate to this amazing cause!
