It's been 13 years since my mum passed and there isn't a moment that goes by that I don't try to find a way to make her even more proud of me.

Just before she passed my dad told me that they had a conversation about how I wasn't a bad kid and how she was proud of me and what I had accomplished up to then - that meant the world to me.

I still see her gold toothed smile (lost a tooth when she was young playing hockey) and I can imagine how big the smile would be if she could see what I want to do.
