One afternoon while sitting in the hospital with my beautiful sister as she battled leukemia, I broke down in tears and asked her why this was happening to her. She responded, "Why is it happening to a 7 year old girl in my neighborhood?" This is a summary of my sister's compassion for others. 

I raise money for the CKDCF because they focus on children and specialize in areas that are overlooked by insurance companies and big charities.   Although I lost my sister as an adult to leukemia, the charity helps children with many different needs. My sister was a champion of children and I believe this honors her memory best of all.
